APPROVE MINUTES OF ARTS & CULTURE COMMISSION MEETINGS FROM 1.11.22 AND 11.9.21 (FRANCES FEE, CHAIRMAN)
MOTION BY Commissioner Nancy Love, SECONDED BY Commissioner Louise Privette To Approve draft minutes of the Arts & Culture Commission meeting held on November 9, 2021 and January 11, 2022.

ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE TO COMMISSIONER ANNA JOHNSON AND ALTERNATE ROSALIND ROBINSON (DARCIE McCRACKEN, CITY CLERK)
Clerk McCraken administered the Oath of Office for Commissioner Anna Johnson and Alternate Rosalind Robinson. Commissioner Johnson and Alternate Robinson were welcomed to the Arts & Culture Commission and gave a brief overview of themselves.

UPDATE PUBLIC ART SUBCOMMITTEE (JENNIFER BARNES, COMMISSIONER)
Commissioner Paulos gave the Public Art Subcommittee update in the absence of Commissioner Barnes. August 1, 2022 will be the official unveiling of Great Joy located at Goodyear Civic Square. Once the installation takes place the commission will take a field trip to view the piece prior to the official unveiling. The new artist selected for Fire Station 188 has met with stakeholders including firefighters, police officers, and commissioners. Artist Jason Butler hopes to have a design by the next Arts & Culture meeting which will incorporate drawings from the firefighters children.

UPDATE EVENT & FESTIVALS SUBCOMMITTEE (LISA PAULOS, COMMISSIONER)
Commissioner Paulos gave a brief overview of Theater in the Park. The event was well attended with lots of kids and delicious turkey legs as well as other popular food trucks. On March 17 the Horatio Band will be performing jazz music at the Goodyear Recreation Campus. The Goodyear Lakeside Musicfest will take place on April 9th from 4:30pm-9:30pm at Estrella Lakeside Amphitheater. The festival will include a variety of local musicians, a Kids Zone, local business booths and a beer and wine garden.

ANNUAL PUBLIC ART PLAN PRESENTATION (FRANCES FEE, CHAIRMAN)
Chairman Fee announced that last night the council unanimously voted to approve the FY2023 Annual Public Art Plan. Chairman Fee shared the presentation which included FY2022 accomplishments as well as FY2023 and beyond.

EVENT CALENDAR (FRANCES FEE, CHAIRMAN)
Chairman Fee reviewed the Event/Program Calendar put together by Coordinator Kiper. The commission appreciated the layout and style and requested to combine the events and programming into one date sequential calendar.
