Approve draft minutes from the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission meeting held on December 7, 2021.

MOTION BY Commissioner John Cox, SECONDED BY Commissioner Ted Ingalls to APPROVE draft minutes from the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission meeting held on December 7, 2021. The motion carried by the following vote:

Spring and Summer Special Events Updates (Rosalya Becerra, Recreation Programmer)
Recreation Programmer Rosalya Becerra, gave a PowerPoint presentation on signature events and community events upcoming in 2022. Arts & Culture Administrator Guylene Ozlanski, provided assistance.
-Becerra reviewed the current 2022 event lineup of all the events, locations, and dates.
-Discussed the new venues Goodyear Recreation Campus & Goodyear Civic Square now available to hold events.
-Events will continue to be held at Ballpark, Goodyear Community Park & Estrella Amphitheater.
-Commissioners are impressed with the variety and quality of events held and the event lineup for 2022.
-Commissioners expressed interest in volunteering at the events. Ozlanski stated she would forward volunteer sign-up information.
-Commissioners requested an event calendar for 2022.
-Commissioner Hohman gave kudos to Guylene Ozlanski for her excellence in coordinating the city events.

Approval of Parks and Recreation Commission Advisory Bylaws Revisions (David Seid, Deputy Director & Gerald Wilson, Chairman)
Deputy Director David Seid led discussion on the bylaws revisions reviewed at the last Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission meeting.
-Commissioners are all in agreement with the revisions and the additional inclusion of the alternate commissioner duties.
-A vote took place to approve the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission Bylaws.

Programs and Planning Subcommittee
Chairman Wilson led discussion on the subcommittees' status.
-The Advocacy Subcommittee has Subcommittee Members Wilson and Hohman, and will need one or more members to continue.
-The commission agreed to reignite the Advocacy Subcommittee and at the next Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission meeting there will be a motion to vote to add members.
-The Programs & Planning Subcommittee will be on pause for now.
