CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Lauritano called the meeting to order at 3:03 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Present:: Chairman Sheri Lauritano; Councilmember Wally Campbell; Councilmember Laura Kaino
Staff Present:: City Clerk Darcie McCracken; City Clerk Specialist Priscilla Piña; Assistant to the City Council John Raeder; Arts & Culture Commission Liaison Guylene Ozlanski; Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission Liaison David Seid; Planning & Zoning Commission Liaison Christopher Baker; Planning & Zoning Commission Liaison Steve Careccia

PUBLIC COMMENTS

There were no public comments.

BUSINESS

Review applications, conduct interviews and make recommendations for appointment to the Arts and Culture Commission.

The subcommittee conducted interviews for the vacancies on the Arts and Culture Commission.

MOTION BY Councilmember Laura Kaino, SECONDED BY Councilmember Wally Campbell to APPOINT Anna Johnson as full member and Rosiland Robinson as Alternate member to the Arts & Culture Commission for two-year terms, expiring December 31, 2024. The motion carried as follows:

AYE:: Chairman Sheri Lauritano, Councilmember Wally Campbell, Councilmember Laura Kaino

Passed - Unanimously

A brief discussion took place regarding virtual interviews being held on an as-needed basis.

Review the applications, conduct interviews and make recommendations for appointment to the Parks and Recreation Commission.

The subcommittee conducted interviews for the vacancy on the Parks and Recreation Commission.

MOTION BY Councilmember Laura Kaino, SECONDED BY Councilmember Wally Campbell to APPOINT Jose Gonzales as Alternate member to the Parks and Recreation Commission for a four-year term, expiring February 28, 2026. The motion carried as follows:

AYE:: Chairman Sheri Lauritano, Councilmember Wally Campbell, Councilmember Laura Kaino

Passed - Unanimously

Review applications, conduct interviews and make recommendations for appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The subcommittee conducted interviews for the vacancies on the Planning and Zoning Commission.

MOTION BY Councilmember Wally Campbell, SECONDED BY Councilmember Laura Kaino to APPOINT Kent Hegedus and Marlon Booth to complete the vacated terms for the Planning and Zoning Commission, expiring on February 12, 2024; and APPOINT Carl Hamilton and Anthony Wang for three-year terms, expiring on February 28, 2025. The motion carried as follows:

AYE:: Chairman Sheri Lauritano, Councilmember Wally Campbell, Councilmember Laura Kaino

Passed - Unanimously

Review, discussion and possible action on the Boards, Commissions and Committees process document last updated in 2013.

No discussion took place on this item.
