CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Pizzillo called the Special Meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

A VOTE MAY BE HELD TO CALL AN EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR THE FOLLOWING:

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(3)& (4): Consultation with the City Attorney and City Manager to receive legal advice and to consider its position and instruct its attorneys regarding the public body’s position in matters subject to pending or contemplated litigation or in settlement discussions conducted to avoid or resolve litigation related to the matter of Mattie v. City of Goodyear.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(3)& (4): Consultation with the City Attorney and City Manager to receive legal advice and to consider its position and instruct its attorneys regarding the public body’s position in matters subject to pending or contemplated litigation or in settlement discussions conducted to avoid or resolve litigation related to the matter of Braughton v. City of Goodyear.

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(1): Discussion with the City Attorney regarding his annual performance evaluation.
City Council convened into the Executive Session at 5:01 p.m.
MOTION BY Vice Mayor Brannon Hampton, SECONDED BY Councilmember Laura Kaino to CONVENE an Executive Session. The motion carried by the following vote:

CONTINUATION OF BUSINESS

Council may consider for possible action adjustments to the City Attorney's compensation.
MOTION BY Councilmember Bill Stipp, SECONDED BY Councilmember Wally Campbell to increase the salary of the City Attorney by 7.5% in accordance with the pay raise given to all city employees in this next fiscal year. The motion carried as follows:
