GOODYEAR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
Research and Program Coordinator Kendra Hoffman provided an overview of the Goodyear Economic Development Department. She explained that the Department focuses on attraction, retention and expansion of businesses in Goodyear. Ms. Hoffman also discussed development plans for Civic Square at GSQ and Goodyear Ballpark.
Commissioners mentioned the desire for the Department to focus on supporting local businesses; the need for walkable areas; and the attraction of unique events to Civic Square.

LIBRARY TEEN ROOM MURAL
Youth Artist Persephone Preciado asked the Commission for input and inspiration for a new mural in the Teen Room in the Georgia T. Lord Library.

- Incorporating the outdoors, including images of the Estrella Mountains, flowers, trees, sunsets, and animals.
- Popular and/or iconic books, such as To Kill a Mockingbird.
- Goodyear High School colors.
- Utilize LED lighting.
- Incorporate music, such as an album cover or link to community play list.

YOUTH COMMISSION CPR TRAINING
Commissioner Michaela Grumbling and Commissioner Amaani Singh provided an update on the planning for the Youth Commission CPR Training on April 22 at City Hall.
