CALL TO ORDER

Chair Kaino called the Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting to order at 8:08 a.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

MOTION BY Boardmember Jay Mathias, SECONDED BY Boardmember Liam Tierney to APPROVE the draft minutes of the August 25, 2022 Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting. The motion carried as follows:

AYE:: Chair Laura Kaino, Vice Chair Michael Stewart, Boardmember Patrick Doyle, Boardmember Jay Mathias, Boardmember Liam Tierney

Passed - Unanimously

Review, discussion and possible action regarding the application and medical records for an Ordinary Disability from the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System - Cory Nochta (last reviewed on August 25, 2022)

MOTION BY Boardmember Jay Mathias, SECONDED BY Boardmember Liam Tierney to APPROVE the Ordinary Disability Application for Cory Nochta. The motion carried as follows:

Passed - Unanimously

Review, consideration and possible action on the application and medical records for Accidental Disability - Kenneth Heng (last reviewed on June 23, 2022)

Thomas Griffin of Yen, Pilch, Robaina, Kresin PLC., appears via video conference for Kenneth Heng. Kenneth Heng is also present via video conference.

The Board entered into Executive Session at 8:13 a.m.

The Board reconvened in the open session at 8:47 a.m.

MOTION BY Boardmember Jay Mathias, SECONDED BY Boardmember Liam Tierney to ACCEPT the application for Accidental Disability for Kenneth Heng and to send him for an IME with additional questions. The motion carried as follows:

AYE:: Chair Laura Kaino, Vice Chair Michael Stewart, Boardmember Patrick Doyle, Boardmember Jay Mathias, Boardmember Liam Tierney

Passed - Unanimously

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Per ARS §38-431.03, upon a public majority vote of the members constituting a quorum, the Goodyear Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board may hold an executive session for any item on the agenda.

MOTION BY Boardmember Jay Mathias, SECONDED BY Vice Chair Michael Stewart to CONVENE an Executive Session. The motion carried as follows:
