APPROVE ARTS AND CULTURE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES FROM JANUARY 10, 2023 (Fran Fee, Chairman)
Amend the minutes to read Alternate Rosalind Robinson was present at the meeting.

CHAIRMAN REMARKS (Fran Fee, Chairman)
Chairman Fee communicated that Council Member Hampton had rave reviews regarding the heArt of Goodyear displays and it's continued support. She also communicated that the Goodyear Train Station is going to move to Litchfield Park and be cared for by the historic society.

APPROVE LIGHT POLE BANNER ART (Layne Ruiz, Coordinator)
Coordinator Ruiz led the commission in a discussion of the art work submitted by the artist. From the multiple renderings that each artist submitted the commissioners ranked their preferences.

ARTS UPDATE (Guylene Ozlanski, Administrator)
Administrator Ozlanski provided a public art update to the commission. Imagine This Place is making progress with the interviews but need young boys and Spanish speakers. In FY24 the Estrella Bridge art project will begin with a funding level of $590,000 by contractor Barbara Grygutis.
7.
ANNUAL PUBLIC ART PLAN PRESENTATION (Frances Fee, Chairman)
Chairman Fee provided an overview of the FY24 Annual Art Plan that will be presented to the council on March 20, 2023. The presentation will include FY23 projects that have been completed and as well as the commission's recommended working public art plan for FY24 that included six projects at a $750,000 funding level.
8.
EVENTS AND FESTIVALS UPDATE (Holly McKenzie, Commissioner)
Commissioner McKenzie gave a brief update on Events and Festivals. The next festival will be Lakeside Musicfest on March 25, 2023. The commission will have a booth to disseminate information about Arts & Culture in Goodyear. Chalk Art in the Park will follow in April.
9.
COMMUNICATIONS UPDATE (Lisa Paulos)
Commissioner Paulos provided a brief communications update. Social Media numbers continue to rise with increases in Facebook sharing and posting as well as a more prevalent post from the City of Goodyear.
