Parks and Recreation Capital Funding - Jared Askelson, Deputy Finance Director
Deputy Finance Director Jared Askelson presented an overview of the current 5-year Capital Improvement Project (CIP) funding amounts for Parks and Recreation, broken down by funding source and the allocations for Parks and Recreation. Discussion was held about funding amounts and the use of Capital funds for current and future projects and improvements.

Parks and Recreation Capital Plan - Nathan Torres, Parks and Recreation Director and David Seid, Parks and Recreation Deputy Director
Parks and Recreation Director Nathan Torres and Deputy Parks and Recreation Director David Seid provided an overview of the City's Parks and Recreation Capital Funding, Parks and Recreation Capital Plan and Parks and Recreation Priorities.
The Committee was provided an overview of Benchmarking of Total Parks Acreage, Trails, and Indoor Recreation for Goodyear and its eight neighboring cities. An overview of the results of community surveys, public outreach and participation was presented and discussed with the Committee.
Parks and Recreation Director Nathan Torres discussed the Parks and Recreation Business Plan including Future Facilities, Funding Strategies and Financial Sustainability, Organizational Structure Analysis, and Services. Photos and mapping of existing and future planned locations were provided for reference.
