CALL TO ORDER
Chair Kaino called the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting to order at 8:09 a.m.

Review, consideration and possible action to select a Vice Chair.
 

MOTION BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff, SECONDED BY Boardmember Jay Mathias to SELECT Boardmember Jay Mathias to serve as the Vice Chair for the Police Public Safety Personnel Board. The motion carried as follows:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approve the draft minutes of the April 25, 2024 Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting.

Review, discussion and possible action on the applications and medical records for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System.

The Board moved into Executive Session at 8:11 a.m.

Chair Kaino reconvened the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting at 8:19 a.m.
 

MOTION BY Boardmember Jay Mathias, SECONDED BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff to ACCEPT the applications for Christopher Carter and Jacob Quarton with no pre-existing conditions, The motion carried as follows:

MOTION BY Boardmember Jay Mathias, SECONDED BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff to ACCEPT the application for Joshua Orozco with pre-existing conditions. The motion carried as follows:

Review, discussion and possible action on the updated medical information on Justin Gaspar.
The Board reviewed updated medical records for the applicant.
 

MOTION BY Boardmember Jay Mathias, SECONDED BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff to REVISE the Conditional Acceptance from October 5, 2023 and ACCEPT Justin Gaspar with no pre-existing condtions. The motion carried as follows:

5.
Review and discussion on the findings of the court in Braughton v Goodyear Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board.
This item was deferred to a future meeting.
 
EXECUTIVE SESSION

Per ARS §38-431.03, upon a public majority vote of the members constituting a quorum, the Goodyear Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board may hold an executive session for any item on the agenda.
 

MOTION BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff, SECONDED BY Boardmember Jay Mathias to CONVENE an Executive Session. The motion carried as follows:
