CALL TO ORDER

Chair Kaino called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

ROLL CALL

BUSINESS

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approve the draft minutes of the June 27, 2024 Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting.

MOTION BY Boardmember Teresa Kuluff, SECONDED BY Boardmember Jason Costello to APPROVE the minutes of the June 27, 2024 Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting. The motion carried as follows:

AYE:: Chair Laura Kaino, Vice Chair Jay Mathias, Boardmember Jason Costello, Boardmember Jason Bayer, Boardmember Teresa Kuluff

Passed - Unanimously

Review, discussion and possible action on the applications and medical records for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System.

The Board entered into Executive Session at 8:01 a.m.

Chair Kaino reconvened the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting at 8:09 a.m.

MOTION BY Boardmember Jason Bayer, SECONDED BY Vice Chair Jay Mathias to Accept the application for Ian Coburn and Travis Melton with no pre-existing conditions; Alias Struges with pre-exisiting conditions; and, Norman Peterson with pre-exisiting conditions pending additional medical records for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System. The motion carried as follows:

AYE:: Chair Laura Kaino, Vice Chair Jay Mathias, Boardmember Jason Costello, Boardmember Jason Bayer, Boardmember Teresa Kuluff

Passed - Unanimously

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Per ARS §38-431.03, upon a public majority vote of the members constituting a quorum, the Goodyear Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board may hold an executive session for any item on the agenda.

MOTION BY Boardmember Jason Costello, SECONDED BY Boardmember Teresa Kuluff to CONVENE an Executive Session. The motion carried as follows:

INFORMATION ITEMS

Chair Kaino announced that Human Resources Director Lyman Locket will present an overview of his work with the medical provider at the next Joint Meeting.

NEXT MEETING

The next meeting of the Goodyear Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board is tentatively scheduled for August 22, 2024.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to discuss, Chairman Kaino adjourned the meeting at 8:11 a.m.
