ELECTIONS
Commissioners Cristian Diaz, Kaydence Stephenson, Sophie Cheatham, Brianna Blair, Kendall Bailey, Alexander Godbold, Ameera Singh and Mackenzie McEldowney gave presentations to the Youth Commission, asking to be selected as this year's Chair and Vice Chair. A ballot containing each of thier names was distributed to the entire commission and commissioners were instructed to cast their vote for their top 2 candidates. After all votes were cast and tallied, Ameera Singh was selected as the 2024/25 Youth Commission Chair and Brianna Blair was selected as the 2024/25 Youth Commission Vice Chair.

PRESENTATION FROM CITY DEPARTMENTS
Corinne Holiday, Digital Communications Deputy Director, gave an overview of the roles and responsibilities of Digital Communications and spoke with commissioners about contributing to the InFocus magazine. Goodyear Parks and Recreation staff, Natalie Reinen, Hannah Duncan and Layne Ruiz spoke to commissioners about volunteer opportunities at upcoming city events. Goodyear Human Resources staff member, Angela Toliver spoke with commissioners about the annual Make A Difference Day and how volunteer hours will be tracked.

TASK GROUPS
Youth commissioners broke into three groups, focusing on marketing, entrepreneurship and civic engagement. Groups spent time discussing year-long project opportunities.
