CALL TO ORDER
Chair Kaino called the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

MOTION BY Boardmember Teresa Kuluff, SECONDED BY Vice Chair Jay Mathias to EXCUSE Boardmembers Jason Bayer and Jason Costello. The motion carried as follows:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approve the draft minutes of the July 25, 2024 Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting.
 

MOTION BY Boardmember Teresa Kuluff, SECONDED BY Vice Chair Jay Mathias to APPROVE the draft minutes of the July 25, 2024 Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting. The motion carried as follows:

Review, discussion and possible action on the applications and medical records for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System.

MOTION BY Vice Chair Jay Mathias, SECONDED BY Boardmember Teresa Kuluff to ACCEPT the application for Justin Bridges for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System with no pre-existing conditions. The motion carried as follows:

Review and make findings regarding the reemployment of PSPRS retiree Brian Issitt under A.R.S.§ 38-849.
 

MOTION BY Vice Chair Jay Mathias, SECONDED BY Boardmember Teresa Kuluff after review of the information, FIND that Brian Issit retired from an employer other than the City of Goodyear and is in a position ordinarily filled by an employee of an eligible group. Pursuant to A.R.S.§ 38-849(H), contributions shall not be made on his behalf, he shall not earn service credit, and the city of Goodyear shall pay the alternate contribution rate on his behalf. The motion carried as follows:

INFORMATION ITEMS

Board Secretary Darcie McCracken noted that she would be in contact to determine the meeting date for the November and December meetings since both regular dates fall on the holidays.
 
NEXT MEETING

The next meeting of the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board is tentatively scheduled for October 24, 2024.
 
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to discuss, Chairman Kaino adjourned the meeting at 8:08 a.m.
