Immediately following the Police PSPRB meeting that began at 8:00 a.m.

CALL TO ORDER

Vice Chair Mathias called the Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting to order at 8:18 a.m.

ROLL CALL

Present:: Vice Chair Jay Mathias; Boardmember Michael Gugel; Boardmember Patrick Doyle; Boardmember Teresa Kuleff
Absent:: Chair Laura Kaino
Staff Present:: Board Attorney Lesli Sorensen; Board Secretary Jasmine Pernicano; Human Resources Director Lyman Locket; Alternate Board Secretary Viviana Monge; Benefits Analyst Chanda Washington; Benefits Analyst Maria Carrillo

Boardmember Doyle, Boardmember Gugel and Board Attorney Sorensen participated remotely via Teams videoconference.

MOTION BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff, SECONDED BY Boardmember Patrick Doyle to EXCUSE Chair Kaino. The motion carried as follows:

BUSINESS

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approve the draft minutes of the July, 17, 2025 Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting.

MOTION BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff, SECONDED BY Boardmember Patrick Doyle to APPROVE the draft minutes of the July 17, 2025 Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting. The motion carried as follows:

The Board moved into Executive Session for Item 2 at 8:20 a.m.

The Board reconvened the Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting at 8:33 a.m.

MOTION BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff, SECONDED BY Boardmember Michael Gugel to ACCEPT the application for Patrick Micula with no pre-existing conditions and the applications for Andres Garcia, KanaLoa Kaluna, Sean Krienke, Joshua Lanham, Johnny Lucarelli, Logan Mandel, Jeffrey McKenney, Bryan Monreal, Cesar Morales, Travis Patanzis, Olivia Pavelchik, Michael Simonis, Michael Teeter, and Jason Thibeault with pre-existing conditions for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System. The motion carried as follows:

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Per ARS §38-431.03, upon a public majority vote of the members constituting a quorum, the Goodyear Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board may hold an executive session for any item on the agenda.

Vice Chair Mathias called for the Board to enter into Executive Session for Item 2. There was no objection.
