PRESENTING OF HONOR CORDS TO SENIORS BY NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES MANAGER JEREMY DYCK
Jeremy Dyck explained the significance of the gold and black honor cord before presenting it to graduating seniors Kiley Colvin, Kwadwo Dwomoh, Bailey Elliott, Lucas Hamblin, Dazlynn Hernandez, Mariah Hewlett, Mackenzie McEldowney, Elianna Mensah, and Ethan Murillo. The cords recognize their service and represent the City of Goodyear Youth Commission at their graduations.

Commissioner Maddelynn Smith presented a video recap and key statistics from the Need for Speed event. She invited the group to share feedback on what worked well and what could be improved. The commissioners provided thoughtful insights and constructive suggestions to help enhance next year’s event.

DISCUSSION ON OPPORTUNITIES WITH GOODYEAR'S DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT.
Jeremy Dyck informed the commissioners about the upcoming Digital Communications message regarding the e-bike and scooter ordinance. He invited any interested commissioners to participate in filming a video and asked them to sign up if they would like to be involved.

Youth commissioners were reminded that the reappointment deadline is April 30, 2026, and connected with individuals who still need to submit their applications.
Members were also reminded that anyone interested in running for the 2026–2027 Chair or Co-Chair positions must notify Jeremy Dyck and Heather Ernst to be placed on the ballot. Candidates should also be prepared to deliver a presentation at the next meeting outlining their interest in the role.
