Immediately following the Joint PSPRB meeting that began at 8:00 a.m.

CALL TO ORDER

Chair Kaino called the Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting to order at 8:27 a.m.

ROLL CALL

Present:: Chair Laura Kaino; Vice Chair Jay Mathias; Boardmember Patrick Doyle; Boardmember Teresa Kuleff
Absent:: Boardmember Michael Gugel
Staff Present:: Board Attorney Lesli Sorensen; Board Secretary Jasmine Pernicano; Human Resources Director Lyman Locket; Benefits Analyst Maria Carrillo

Board Attorney Sorensen and Boardmember Doyle participated via Teams videoconference.

MOTION BY Vice Chair Jay Mathias, SECONDED BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff to EXCUSE Boardmember Gugel. The motion carried as follows:

Approval of Minutes
Approve the draft minutes of the February 19, 2026 Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting.

MOTION BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff, SECONDED BY Vice Chair Jay Mathias to APPROVE the draft minutes of the February 19, 2026 Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting. The motion carried as follows:

AYE:: Chair Laura Kaino, Boardmember Patrick Doyle, Vice Chair Jay Mathias, Boardmember Teresa Kuleff

Passed - Unanimously

Review, discuss and possible action on the applications and medical records for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System.

Tinsley, Tyler - New Hire (Lateral)

MOTION BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff, SECONDED BY Vice Chair Jay Mathias to ACCEPT the applications for Austin Campbell, Evan Sammons and Tyler Tinsley with pre-existing conditions for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System. The motion carried as follows:

AYE:: Chair Laura Kaino, Boardmember Patrick Doyle, Vice Chair Jay Mathias, Boardmember Teresa Kuleff

Passed - Unanimously
