Mayor Pizzillo called the Special Meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

CANVASS THE JULY 21, 2026 PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS
Jasmine Pernicano, City Clerk, presented the results of the July 21, 2026 Primary Election, noting that the city had 17,049 ballots cast, representing nearly a 26% voter turnout. Ms. Pernicano reported that Joe Pizzillo received the highest number of votes for Mayor, and Brannon Hampton, Sheri Lauritano, and Vicki Gillis received the majority of votes for Councilmember, eliminating the need for a General Election.
Ms. Pernicano read Resolution No. 2026-2533 by title only.
Council congratulated the newly elected candidates.

MOTION BY Councilmember Laura Kaino, SECONDED BY Councilmember Benita Beckles to adopt Resolution No. 2026-2533 Declaring and Adopting the Results of the Primary Election held on July 21, 2026, Declaring the Election of Mayor, Declaring the Election of Councilmembers, Canceling the General Election; and Setting an Effective Date. The motion carried by a roll-call vote as follows:
