RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Mauro Ruiz in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On February 22, 2022, Mr. Mauro Ruiz, a City of La Puente resident, filed a property damage claim in the amount of $1,500 for damage to Mr. Ruiz vehicle. The claim alleges that on October 3, 2021, Mr. Ruiz was traveling southbound on Harbor Boulevard approaching Arbolita Drive at 3:30 a.m. when he struck multiple road delineators, causing damage to the front bumper, bumper front lip splitter, and front side panels on both sides of the vehicle.
