SUBJECT: APPROVE DENIAL OF LIABILITY CLAIM OF MR. ALEXANDRO GONZALEZ

RECOMMENDATION:


That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Alexandro Gonzalez in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.

DISCUSSION:

Mr. Alexandro Gonzalez, a City of La Mirada resident, filed a property damage claim on May 16, 2023, in the amount of $1,654.13 for reimbursement to replace four tires and an alignment for his vehicle. Mr. Gonzalez alleges that on April 4, 2023, while exiting the plaza located at 801-941 Lambert Road, his right front tire was punctured while driving through debris from a construction zone on Lambert Boulevard. The claim has been tendered to the contractor conducting work at the location for resolution.
