RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Isaac Holguin in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On February 2, 2023, an attorney representing Isaac Holguin, a La Habra resident and minor child, filed a bodily injury claim against the City for unspecified damages. The claim alleges that on December 3, 2022, the minor child was running at Portola Park near the dinosaur exhibits when he injured his leg from a posted sign displayed in front of the dinosaur garden.
