SUBJECT:	APPROVE DENIAL OF LIABILITY CLAIM OF MR. MITCHELL PHILLIP

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Mitchell Phillip in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.

DISCUSSION:

Mr. Mitchell Phillip, a La Habra Heights resident, filed a claim against the City on July 24, 2023 for an unspecified amount. The claimant alleges that on July 12, 2023, during a traffic stop by the La Habra Police Department, the Officers seized two cell phones. The claim alleges that one cell phone was dropped and is inoperable and the other cell phone was lost by the Police Department.
