SUBJECT:	APPROVE DENIAL OF LIABILITY CLAIM OF MR. ANTHONY GARCIA

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Anthony Garcia in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.

DISCUSSION:

Mr. Anthony Garcia, a City of Los Angeles resident, filed a claim on March 20, 2023, for an unspecified amount for violation of his civil rights. The claimant alleges that on March 13, 2023, he was detained by the La Habra Police Department and was not given his Miranda Rights nor a field sobriety/breath test. The claimant alleges violation of his civil rights.
