Under the HSGP, the cities of Anaheim and Santa Ana are responsible for the management and administration of the UASI Grant Program within the Orange County Metropolitan Area. Known as the Anaheim/Santa Ana UASI (ASAUASI), the two cities alternate the lead agency role each year, with Anaheim taking the lead role in even numbered years and Santa Ana taking the lead agency role in odd numbered years.
The current UASI Grant being processed is for Fiscal Year 2022 and is being administered by the Anaheim Police Department's UASI office. Staff has prepared the Fiscal Year 2022 UASI agreement for City Council's consideration. If approved by City Council, several La Habra police officers will have the opportunity to participate in Homeland Security Training Programs during this period.
