RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Patrick Brody in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
Mr. Patrick Brody, a City of Chino Hills resident, filed a property damage claim against the City on October 26, 2023, in the amount of $10,000 for reimbursement to repair damages to the sewer line, lawn, and garage floor for a property he owns in La Habra. The claimant alleges that roots from a City-owned tree planted in 1963 grew too large and caused property damage.
