RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Ms. Bernice Rodriguez in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
Ms. Rodriguez, a City of La Habra resident, filed a property damage claim on June 4, 2024 in the amount of $1,200.00 for reimbursement to repair damages to her vehicle. Ms. Rodriguez alleges that on March 30, 2024, while parked on West Fourth Avenue, a branch from a City-owned tree fell on her vehicle causing damage to the front driver side, roof and fender of her vehicle.
