RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Joseph Alexander Echeverria (a minor) in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On June 8, 2020, an attorney representing Mr. Joseph Alexander Echeverria, a minor, filed a bodily injury claim for unspecified damages. The claim alleges that on January 24, 2020, at approximately 1:43 p.m., the claimant was riding his skateboard across Palm Street, in a marked crosswalk, when he was struck by a vehicle. The claim alleges that he sustained significant bodily injuries and that the roadway where the incident occurred constituted a dangerous condition.
