| SUBJECT: | CONSIDER AMENDMENT NO. 4 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR CITY ATTORNEY SERVICES WITH JONES MAYER

RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve Amendment No. 4 to the Agreement for City Attorney Services with Jones Mayer designating Keith Collins as the City Attorney and Brittany Roberto as the Assistant City Attorney.
DISCUSSION:
In 2015, the City of La Habra executed an Agreement for City Attorney Services with the law firm of Jones Mayer. This agreement designated Richard Jones as the City Attorney and Ryan Jones as the Assistant City Attorney. Richard Jones has served as the City Attorney since 1985 and is in the process of retiring. Staff recommends amending the Agreement for City Attorney Services to designate Deputy City Attorney Keith F. Collins as the City Attorney and Deputy City Attorney Brittany Roberto as Assistant City Attorney for the City of La Habra. No other changes to the Agreement are proposed.

GENERAL PLAN RELEVANCE/CITY COUNCIL GOALS & OBJECTIVES:
Amending the Contract for City Attorney services will allow the Jones Mayer law firm to continue providing qualified and experienced general and specialized legal services to the City Council and staff.
