RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Diego Martinez in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
Mr. Diego Martinez, a City of La Habra resident, filed a property claim against the City on July 29, 2025, in the amount of $220.00. The claim alleges that on June 27, 2025, the claimant's vehicle was parked in front of a laundromat when a person began shooting at a group of people, striking his vehicle, which shattered the rear window.
