RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Ms. Donna Luna in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
Ms. Donna Luna, a City of Stanton resident, retained an attorney who filed a claim against the City on November 5, 2025, in excess of $15,000,000. The claim alleges that on May 12, 2025, the claimant was confronted by La Habra Police Officers and arrested under force, which caused her to sustain injuries.
