| SUBJECT: | APPROVE DENIAL OF LIABILITY CLAIM OF GIANA SOFIA NORONA ZUNIGA, A MINOR, THROUGH HER MOTHER, CECELIA YULEM ZUNIGA-HERNANDEZ

RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Giana Sofia Norona Zuniga, through her mother, Cecelia Yulem Zuniga-Hernandez, in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
Giana Sofia Norona Zuniga, through her mother, Cecelia Yulem Zuniga-Hernandez, City of Anaheim residents, filed a claim for damages against the City on August 19, 2025, in excess of $10,000,000.00. The claim alleges that dangerous conditions of the roadway created a foreseeable risk of injury and are responsible for the death of their family member.
