| SUBJECT: | APPROVE NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE LA HABRA BOULEVARD REHABILITATION PROJECT BEACH BOULEVARD TO IDAHO STREET, PROJECT NO. 5-R-18 |
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the Notice of Completion for the La Habra Boulevard Rehabilitation Project Beach Boulevard to Idaho Street, Project No. 5-R-18; and authorize staff to submit the notice for recordation.
DISCUSSION:
On October 21, 2019 the City Council awarded a construction contract to R.J. Noble Company of Orange, California, in the amount of $1,192,388.73, which included a 10 percent contingency, for the construction of the La Habra Boulevard Rehabilitation Project from Beach Boulevard to Idaho Street, City Project No. 5-R-18.
The Project consisted of pavement rehabilitation, reconstruction of damaged curb ramps, sidewalk, driveway approaches, bus pads, curbs and gutters, pavement striping and legend markings on La Habra Boulevard from Beach Boulevard to Idaho Street in the City of La Habra.
All improvements associated with the above-mentioned Project have been completed. Staff conducted a final inspection and found the work to be in compliance with the City's approved plans, specifications and standards. Upon acceptance by the City Council, staff will file a Notice of Completion for recordation at the County Recorder's Office. A copy of the Notice of Completion is included as Attachment 1. Before and after pictures of the project are included as Attachment 2.

FISCAL IMPACT/SOURCE OF FUNDING:
The final cost of construction for the Project is $1,066,333.62, which is eleven percent under the approved purchase order amount of $1,192,388.73. There are sufficient budgeted funds to cover the cost of the Project.
