APPROVE DENIAL OF LIABILITY CLAIM OF RUBY MEZA

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City Council deny the claim of Ruby Meza in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.

DISCUSSION:

Attorney's Samer Habbas & Associates, filed a claim against the City on August 4, 2025, seeking damages in excess of $35,000.00 for bodily injuries sustained by their client, Ruby Meza, a City of Huntington Park resident, during a February 3, 2025 traffic collision with a La Habra police vehicle.
