| SUBJECT: | APPROVE DENIAL OF LIABILITY CLAIM OF MAL SOON PARK AND SUK C. LEE FOR BODILY INJURIES |
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Mal Soon Park and Suk C. Lee, for bodily injuries, in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On September 30, 2020, the City received a bodily injury claim filed by an attorney on behalf of Mal Soon Park in the amount $7,208, with ongoing medical treatment and Suk C. Lee in the amount of $11,352, with ongoing medical treatment. The claim alleges that on September 2, 2020, Ms. Park and Ms. Lee were sitting in a chair under a tree at Vista Del Valle Park when a tree branch fell on both claimants causing bodily injuries.
