That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Brandon Rabbitt in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.

Mr. Brandon Rabbitt, a La Habra resident, filed a property damage claim on July 28, 2021, in the amount of $64.09.  In his claim, Mr. Rabbitt alleges that on July 9, 2021, the City conducted a fire hydrant test at View Park Mobile Homes.  As a result of the testing, Mr. Rabbitt alleges that he drained his water heater and that during the process of draining the water heater, the water heater pressure relief valve broke. City staff confirmed that an inspection of the alleged damage was conducted, and it was determined that the damage to the water heater valve was unrelated to the fire hydrant testing.  Therefore, staff recommends denial of the claim.
