| SUBJECT: | APPROVE NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR VARIOUS PARKING LOTS IMPROVEMENTS FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020, PROJECT NO. 4-P-19 |
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the Notice of Completion for Various Parking Lots Improvements Fiscal Year 2019-2020, Project 4-P-19, and authorize staff to submit the Notice of Completion for recordation.
DISCUSSION:
On May 4, 2020, the City Council awarded a construction contract to Onyx Paving Company, Inc., of Anaheim, California, in the amount of $79,974.40, which included a 10 percent contingency for the construction of the Various Parking Lots Improvements Fiscal Year 2019-2020, Project No. 4-P-19.
Project No. 4-P-19 included pavement rehabilitation, removal and reconstruction of sidewalks, curb ramps and driveway approaches, striping, and legend markings for the City owned parking lot at Las Lomas Park and Loma Verde Park. All improvements have been completed and the final inspection found the work to be in compliance with the City's approved plans, specifications, and standards. Upon acceptance of the Project by the City Council, staff will file a Notice of Completion for recordation at the County Recorder's Office. A copy of the Notice of Completion is included as Attachment 1. Before and after pictures of the project are included as Attachment 2.

FISCAL IMPACT/SOURCE OF FUNDING:
The final cost of construction for the Project is $72,382.00, which is approximately ten percent below the approved purchase order amount of $79,974.40. There are sufficient budgeted funds to cover the cost of the Project.
