| SUBJECT: | APPROVE THE LA HABRA HOUSING AUTHORITY ANNUAL REPORT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020-2021 PURSUANT TO HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE SECTION 34328 AND 34238.1 FOR SUBMITTAL TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

RECOMMENDATION:
That the Housing Authority approve the La Habra Housing Authority Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 34328 and 34238.1 for submittal to the State Department of Housing and Community Development.
DISCUSSION:
Health and Safety Code Sections 34328 and 34328.1 require all housing authorities to file an annual report of activities conducted during the previous fiscal year by October 1st of each year with the City Clerk and the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). The requirements of the report include the listing of housing assets transferred to the Housing Authority and ongoing monitoring of agency assisted affordable housing.
The activities conducted during the previous fiscal year (i.e., housing assets and functions monitored by the Housing Authority) are listed in Exhibit A of the Annual Report (see La Habra Housing Authority Annual Report Fiscal Year 2020-2021, Attachment 1).

- List of all properties owned by the Housing Authority;
- List of affordable housing properties monitored annually by the La Habra Housing Authority;
- Rental Housing;
- Homeownership Developments;
- Rehabilitation Financing;
- Multi-Family Units;
- Recipients of Federal Rent Subsidies;
- Units Financed with Bonds;
- Termination of Tenancies; and
- Increased Income of Occupant.
It is recommended that the La Habra Housing Authority approve the La Habra Housing Authority Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 34328 and 34238.1 for submittal to the State Department of Housing and Community Development.
FISCAL IMPACT/SOURCE OF FUNDING:
There is no fiscal impact.
