APPROVE DENIAL OF LIABILITY CLAIM OF MADISON DOUGLAS FOR INDEMNIFICATION

RECOMMENDATION:


That the City Council deny the claim of Ms. Madison Douglas in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.

DISCUSSION:


On October 12, 2021, an attorney representing Ms. Madison Douglas filed an indemnity claim against the City for unspecified damages.  The claim seeks indemnification for a lawsuit that was served on Ms. Douglas on September 21, 2021, for damages to a pedestrian who was struck in the crosswalk at Palm Street and Tanglewood Court on January 24, 2020.
