DISCUSSION:
The Applicant, Costco Wholesale is requesting to expand the Costco gasoline fueling station by adding additional fuel dispensers. The property is located at the northwest corner of La Habra Boulevard and Beach Boulevard. The General Plan land use designation is Commercial Shopping Center 2. The property is zoned SP-1, La Habra Boulevard Specific Plan and designated Community Shopping Center 2, consistent with the property's General Plan land use designation.
The project was originally scheduled for the Planning Commission meeting on November 8, 2021. However, Costco's representatives submitted a continuation request on November 4, 2021, requesting that the project be continued to December 13, 2021, to allow additional time to work on the project details with City staff. A second continuation request was submitted on November 29, 2021, requesting that the project be continued to date uncertain to allow Costco and City staff to continue to work on the project details. Once finalized, the project will be re-advertised including the mailing of public hearing notices to schedule the project for Commission consideration.
