RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Pedro Favela in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
Mr. Pedro Favela, a La Habra resident, filed a property damage claim on December 1, 2021, in the amount of $5,000. Mr. Favela alleges that on November 21, 2021, a City-owned tree fell on the claimant’s fence causing damage. The tree was located on the parkway at 420 Gwynwood Avenue.
