RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Jacques Polzin in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On July 21, 2020, Mr. Jacques Polzin, a City of Norwalk resident, filed a property damage claim in the amount of $6,369.33. The claim alleges that on July 18, 2020, Mr. Polzin was traveling eastbound on Lambert Road in the right lane approaching the intersection at Palm Street when paint overspray damaged his vehicle. The claim alleges that the paint came from overspray while a construction crew was painting traffic signals at that intersection. The claim was tendered to the contractor conducting the work.
