RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Ms. Tina Duarte in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On December 6, 2022, Tina Duarte, a La Habra resident, filed a claim in the amount of $600 for property damage and bodily injury for an unspecified amount. Ms. Duarte alleges that on July 6, 2022, her cell phone was damaged during an interaction with La Habra police officers when she claims that they violated her first amendment rights and illegally arrested her.
