RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Ms. Michelle Castanon in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
Ms. Castanon, a City of La Habra resident, filed a property damage claim on March 9, 2023 in the amount of $250 for reimbursement to repair a broken windshield. Ms. Castanon alleges that on March 1, 2023, while parked on La Serna Ave, a City-owned tree branch fell on her vehicle causing damage to the front windshield of her vehicle.
