RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Ms. Gretta Boyd in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
Ms. Gretta Boyd, a City of La Habra resident, filed a property damage claim on April 25, 2023, for an unspecified amount for reimbursement to repair a damaged tire. Ms. Boyd alleges that on April 13, 2023, while traveling on Imperial Highway, a barricade sign fell into the lane closest to the sidewalk. The claimant subsequently ran over the sign which punctured the claimant’s tire on her vehicle.
