RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Ms. Liliana Alatorre in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
Ms. Liliana Alatorre, a City of La Habra resident, filed a property damage claim on February 8, 2024, in the amount of $270 to replace the windshield on her vehicle. Ms. Alatorre claims that on October 31, 2023, she was traveling on Imperial Highway at the intersection of South Walnut Street where construction was taking place on the road. Ms. Alatorre claims a rock struck the windshield of her vehicle and shattered it.
