RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Fashion Heights in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On May 6, 2024, Ms. Beatriz Lozano filed a property damage claim on behalf of Fashion Heights in the amount of $5,282.13 to replace a gate motor. The claim alleges that on March 16, 2024, a City of La Habra Ambulance responded to an incident and, when exiting the complex, the ambulance struck the gate motor causing damage to the system. The City contracts with Falck Mobile Health Corp. to provide ambulance operators; therefore, this claim has been tendered to Falck Mobile Health Corp. for handling.
