RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Gustavo Bahena in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On April 8, 2024, an attorney representing Mr. Gustavo Bahena, a City of Seal Beach resident, filed a claim for $2,010,000. The claim stems from an officer involved shooting of Mr. Bahena by La Habra Police Officers.
FISCAL IMPACT/SOURCE OF FUNDING:
None.
