RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Lucas Dong in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On December 3, 2024, an attorney representing Lucas Dong, a minor and student at El Portal Elementary School located within the Lowell Joint School District, filed a claim for unspecified damages alleging violation of Ralph Civil Rights Act of 1976.
FISCAL IMPACT/SOURCE OF FUNDING:
None.
