RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Walgreens Co. in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On January 27, 2025, Walgreens filed a claim against the City for an unspecified amount alleging a dangerous condition located in the parking lot of Walgreens located at 101 West Imperial Highway. This claim is related to an alleged trip and fall incident that occurred on June 7, 2023, outside of Walgreens near a wheelchair ramp.
