DISCUSSION:
On October 7, 2024, the City Council awarded a construction contract to Gentry Brothers, Inc., based in Irwindale, California, in the amount of $1,638,980. This total includes a 20% contingency for the Euclid Street Rehabilitation Project, designated as City Project No. 1-R-21.
The project entails the full-depth pavement reconstruction, installation of a new Asphalt Rubber Hot Mix (ARHM) pavement cap, new traffic striping and markings; and, the reconstruction of existing driveway approaches, sidewalks, cross gutters and spandrels, curb ramps, retaining curbs, and curbs and gutters along Euclid Street from Whittier Boulevard to north City limits.
City staff conducted a final inspection and confirmed that all work was completed in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and standards of the City of La Habra. Following City Council acceptance of the project, staff will file a Notice of Completion (Attachment 1) for recordation at the Orange County Recorder’s Office.
