| SUBJECT: | APPROVE DENIAL OF LIABILITY CLAIM OF CATHERINE CHEAH, CHRISTOPHER CHEAH AND SARAH CHEAH

RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Catherine Cheah, Christopher Cheah and Sarah Cheah in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On April 8, 2025, attorney Darren O. Aitkin, of Aitkin, Aitkin Cohn Trial Lawyers, filed an injury and loss claim on behalf of Catherine Cheah, Christopher Cheah, and Sarah Cheah for an unspecified amount. The claim alleges that dangerous road conditions were at fault in the injury and subsequent death of Richard Cheah.
