| SUBJECT: | APPROVE NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR WALL REPAIRS AT THE CHILD DEVELOPMENT MAIN OFFICE

RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the Notice of Completion for wall repairs at City of La Habra Child Development Main Office located at 215 North Euclid Street, La Habra, CA 90631; and authorize staff to send the Notice of Completion for recordation.
DISCUSSION:
On April 7, 2025, the City Council awarded a construction contract to MDJ Management LLC. of El Segundo, California in the amount of $294,500 for the City of La Habra Child Development Main Office wall repair project. The project included the demolition of the existing south-facing wall, replacement of shear walls, windows, stucco, drywall, electrical and structural restoration during the course of the reconstruction.
Staff conducted a final inspection and found that the work was completed in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and City of La Habra standards. Upon acceptance of the project by the City Council, staff will file a Notice of Completion (Attachment 1) for recordation at the Orange County Clerk-Recorder's Office.

FISCAL IMPACT/SOURCE OF FUNDING:
The project has a total approved grant funded construction budget of $294,500, which includes $173,755 from the California State Preschool Contract Grant Fund (CSPP) and $120,745 from the General Child Care Contract Grant Fund (CCTR). The total final construction cost and approved purchase order for the Project was $294,500; therefore, there are sufficient funds to release retention and file the Notice of Completion.
